Helicopter Crash Near Kedarnath: A major accident occurred near Kedarnath on Sunday morning, June 15, when a helicopter belonging to Aryan Aviation crashed between Triyuginarayan and Gaurikund. 

According to the statement by UCADA, the helicopter that crashed around 5:20 am today carried six passengers and a pilot.  

Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread heavy to very heavy rainfall across Kerala till June 18, prompting authorities to issue red, orange, and yellow alerts for multiple districts.

Ahmedabad Plane Crash: Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu said the country has very strict aviation safety standards and robust protocols, and everything will be done to further improve safety. “Any theory going around the plane crash will be analysed,” he added.

Following the crash, the Tata group, which owns Air India, announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore each for the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic plane crash.

Ahmedabad Plane Crash: The college has also called off the summer vacation for all medical faculty and doctors and asked them to assist in the care of the injured.

Covid-19 India: India’s Covid-19 death toll now stands at 87 for the year 2025, with 11,967 people recovering from the virus so far. In the last 24 hours, 991 patients recovered.

The IMD has predicted that on June 16 and 17, the sky will remain mostly cloudy across much of North India, with light to moderate rainfall likely in several regions, further improving weather conditions.

In a video message shared on X, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson confirms 265 deaths in the Ahmedabad crash, saying, “We are devastated.” He pledges full transparency in the probe, support for victims’ families, and details Air India’s emergency response efforts.
