The Cabinet — headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi — has cleared the restructuring and extension of the Modi government’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi scheme for streed vendors. The restructured scheme will provide cashback incentives worth up to Rs 1,600 to vendors on retail and wholesale transactions. The PM SVANidhi scheme offers collateral-free working capital loans to street vendors to support their businesses in urban, peri-urban and rural parts of the country.
