Arunachal Pradesh will launch its first commercial coal mine at the Namchik-Namphuk block on 6 October. The project, led by Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, is expected to generate over Rs 100 crore annually, create local jobs and set a benchmark for sustainable and transparent mining in the Northeast, according to the Ministry of Coal.
