Ethanol blending in petrol to be raised to 27% as India meets target 6 years in advance: Sources

The government has directed the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to formulate standards for “E-27” or 27 per cent ethanol blending, according to sources. The government’s ethanol push has transformed sugar mills into more diversified, financially secure, and operationally efficient enterprises.
