Former Indian Prime Minister and Member of Rajya Sabha, H.D. Deve Gowda, issued a sharp reply to recent comments of U.S. President Donald Trump against the Indian economy. Calling Trump’s statements “baseless and ill-tempered,” Gowda complimented India’s fortitude, democratic ideals, and the Modi government’s strong response to foreign intimidation. He also cautioned opposition parties in India not to fall in line with Trump’s statements.
